Yemeni Restaurant in Djibouti is a culinary attraction like no other. Situated in the city’s backyards, the bar attracts both locals and travelers from neighbouring countries. Simplistic and raw climate made this place much more different from other diners I have had the opportunity to visit.

I enjoyed having fresh, hand-picked fish with bread and dipping sauce, salad, fish soup, and a lime drink. The fish was great, grilled over charcoal with just a few spices. You could go in the back and even pick out the fish you would like them to make.

Hedasie Restaurant was another cultural and societal experience. A place of calmness, warmth, and safety. Three cheerful ladies were enjoying a little gossip and giggle in the corner. My driver was getting some well-deserved rest and a cold drink. I tasted local coffee.

Despite having substandard interior design the place emanated with so much joy, happiness, and love. It turned out the place was frequented by this lovely lady whose aspiring boyfriend was my newly met friend.
